@Brandon,
Thanks for the comment. The change is only for new VMs that are deployed and does not affect VMs that already exist. For Windows Server 2008, Microsoft actually recommends 2GB RAM (<a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/cc1..." target="_blank">http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/cc1... and that recommendation is for physical servers. We receive support cases where people complain about performance and other issues and the commonality with those complaints is that those VMs have only 512 MB RAM. So to ensure the best experience possible, setting higher minimum RAM allotments ensures better performance and stability. Please remember as well when looking at other providers that many don't offer free 24x7 support, don't include the Microsoft licensing in the cost and several have the same types of RAM minimums as well.

I have 512MB Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 cloud servers with gogrid. They work just fine. I do not care for this "feature" at all. Removing a customer's options is not an upgrade guys.... it is, however, a good way to piss off your customers. I would like to see this limitation removed or I WILL be shopping around for a new cloud provider.
